- I used to live there and worked as a scuba instructor in the early 90ies. It was a wild place and way cheaper than today.
- Years ago when coming into Puerta Galera there was a floating bar about 200 feet from shore with bar girls on it. It was there when we arrived, but then I never saw it again. I would have LOVED to have visited it in the day time, as there is not much to do outside of the incredible diving.
